2006 Toyota Corolla wont start	Sign In

2006 Toyota Corolla 1.8 L automatic 95-k

battery was down tried to jump start cables were crossed.
had to replace battery - would not even turn over. and when you turn key no dash lights .
tested starter and altntr both good
noticed 100-amp fuse in engine compartment fuse box was blown. replaced - still didnt turn over but dash lights turned on with key.
replaced ignition switch - still would not turn over.
jumped stater while on car with key on, car turned engine over but would not start.
checked fuses inside and outside all are good.

can you tell me where ignition relay is and starter relay?

or any idea what it might be , plase help i am running out of parts to buy.

First off since you crossed the cables, you might of fried the PCM, so you should get a code reader and see if you can communicate with the PCM. The PCM is what controls the starter relay. If the PCM is communicating, come back here and we can go onto the next step. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Does this have a theft immobilizer system? You can tell because the ignition key will have a transponder in it. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

i tried to get a reader to ck the codes today it was rented out they told me to come back in the morning.

the key is just a regular looking key and it doesnt have a remote , it does have a light that looked light anti theft system that would blink to the left of the steering wheel on the dash. but when i would put the key in the light would stop flashing and turn off.

i did notice when i put the key forward in the start position the lights for the radio would turn off , then once i released key back to the on position the radio wouild turn back on. - I'm not sure if that means anything .

What you could do is find the starter relay in this picture. When you turn the key to start you should hear it click. If it doesn't click, check the 15 amp AM2 fuse in that same fuse panel the starter relay is on.

Also check the 30 amp main fuse in the fuse panel under the hood. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
